Gordon Westlock: I short with one king in my bucket so I came to get one from the game wardens.
John: For your salt bucket?
Gordon: Yeah
John: How about your other king needs? Have you got those yet?
Gordon: I got 3 for each ones; I got 3 kings for five(?). We save for winter for food.
John: So you have your kings for the year then?
Gordon: yeah.
John: How about chum?
Gordon: Chum we hang and dry we just save everything, every bit of it, even the bones for our dogs. We have puppy that we save that one.
John: Well good, so you’re not going to have a problem getting your subsistence needs this year?
Gordon: No.
John: Well that’s good to hear, I am realy happy to hear that.
Gordon: We’re happy that these game wardens they help us a lot, especially now with the ones that needs help. The elders they call them up and whenever they have fish left over, they just give it to them. There are elders who can’t go out and go get whatever they want today. Other things, some of us, the gas is too high, the gas prices too high and we have to go get whatever they have left. These game wardens are really happy to give it to us.
John: Well that’s good.
