| Within
this large category of four special organizations are the most
powerful economic entities in Korea. The "big 4,"
as KITA, FKI, KCCI and KFSB are known, also maintain certain
institutional or functional ties to the government. The four,
plus a selection of other economic councils, groups and enterprises
that are likely to be of interest to Alaskan business person
doing business with Korea, are briefly profiled below. |
|
Korea
International Trade Association (KITA) |
|
Federation

|
Korea

The KCCI is the oldest, largest and least specialized
of the "big 4" business organizations in Korea.
It is a federation of 53 local chambers located throughout
Korea, which in turn are comprised of almost two million
members from every field of business and industry. |
|
Korea
Federation of Small Business (KFSB)
The KFSB was founded in 1962 to strengthen the
competitiveness of Korean small business in international
as well as domestic markets. |
|
Association
of Foreign Trading Agents of Korea (AFTAK)
AFTAK was established 23 years ago and is unique
in that it is the only association specialized in increasing
imports into Korea. If you are a current or prospective
exporter to Korea, please add this web sit to your favorite
sites. |
