Alaska works with
Western Canadian partners – British Columbia, Yukon Territory, Alberta
and the city of Prince Rupert, B.C. – on a joint tourism marketing
campaign and promotion to attract tourists to all four regions: Tourism
North.

The Alaska Highway
brings travelers to Alaska through western Canada.

Alaska ferries
link Southeast Alaska to Bellingham, WA, via Prince Rupert, B.C.

Large cruise ships
ply the Inside Passage between Vancouver and Juneau along with others
towns in Southeast Alaska.

Flights connect
Alaska's three main cities, Anchorage, Fairbanks and Juneau, with
western Canada in scheduled and charter service. During the summer
tourist season, more flights are available.

Cargo travels
between Alaska and Canada by air, road and sea.

There have been
proposals to extend the railroads in Alaska and Canada to connect,
but no decisions have been made and this remains an open question
