Large cruise ships ply the Inside Passage between Vancouver and Juneau along with others towns in Southeast Alaska.

Flights connect Alaska's three main cities, Anchorage, Fairbanks and Juneau, with western Canada in scheduled and charter service. During the summer tourist season, more flights are available.

Cargo travels between Alaska and Canada by air, road and sea.

There have been proposals to extend the railroads in Alaska and Canada to connect, but no decisions have been made and this remains an open question
