Parnell Appoints Alaskans to State Boards
November 20, 2009, Anchorage, Alaska – Governor Sean Parnell today announced the appointment of Alaskans to state boards dealing with juvenile justice, suicide prevention, the Alaska Permanent Fund and arts and education.

In-State Gas Line Project Manager Resigns

Gov. Fights Misuse of Endangered Species Act
November 18, 2009, Anchorage Alaska – Recognizing that resource development jobs in Alaska face a serious threat from environmental groups, Governor Sean Parnell today announced he is committing additional resources to fight the misuse of the Endangered Species Act (ESA). The governor’s proposed operating budget for Fiscal Year 2011 will include a new attorney position at the Department of Law solely dedicated to ESA issues. The governor will also include $800,000 for outside legal counsel to help with the effort.

Parnell Names Neal Foster to House Seat
November 10, 2009, Nome, Alaska – Governor Sean Parnell today appointed Neal Foster to the vacant District 39 seat in the Alaska House of Representatives, which covers an area from Hooper Bay up to and including the City of Nome. Foster is the son of the late Rep. Richard Foster, who died last month.
