April 22, 2008, Anchorage, Alaska - Governor Sarah Palin today released the following statement supporting Department of Natural Resources Commissioner Tom Irwin’s decision to terminate the Point Thomson Unit:

“I support the commissioner's decision because I want development and Alaskans are ready to see real progress at Point Thomson, finally, after 30 years,” Governor Palin said.
