Under the authority of Article III, Sections 1 and 24 of the Alaska Constitution and AS 44.17.060., I, Steve Cowper, Governor of the State of Alaska, order transfer of the Fish and Game Licensing Program from the Department of Revenue to the Department of Fish and Game.

The Department of Fish and Game has a direct interest in the licensing program as the agency responsible for the administration of fish and game management programs funded by licensing revenues. The Department requires licensee information to complete studies and reports required by the federal government, regulatory boards and the legislature, which can be more efficiently gathered if the licensing function is administered by the Department.

This order takes effect immediately.
