Under the authority of article III, sections 1 and 24 of the Alaska Constitution and AS 44.17.020, I, Steve Cowper, Governor of the State of Alaska, order the following in the interests of economy and efficiency and in accord with sound administrative principles and practices:

1. Merge the Division of Community Development and the Division of Housing Assistance within the Department of Community and Regional Affairs.

2. Name the consolidated division as the Division of Housing Assistance under AS 44.47.360 et. seq..

3. Establish an economic development section and a housing assistance section within the Division of Housing Assistance.

This Order takes effect immediately.
