Under the authority of AS 44.19.028, I am establishing the Interim Council on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. The Interim Council on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault terminates on October 24, 1981. It shall be comprised of the persons specified in AS 18.66.- 020(a)(2)--(5), enacted in ch. 101, SLA 1981, and the following three public members:

The Interim Council on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault shall carry out the duties specified in AS 18.66.050(a)(2), (3), (4), (5), (6), and (9), as enacted in ch. 101, SLA 1981. Additionally, the Interim Council on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault shall begin to consider candidates for the position of executive director for the Council on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault.

The public members I have appointed to the Interim Council are also appointed to the Council on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault (established by ch. 101, SLA 1981) which shall come into existence on October 24, 1981.

Susan R. Clark and Marianne F. McNabb are appointed to two-year terms and Diane Carpenter is appointed to a one year term on the Council on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault.
