ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 29
Under authority of Article III, Section 1, of the Alaska Constitution,
it is ordered that:
A. The fiscal operations of the Comprehensive Employment
and Training Act (CETA) which are currently administered by the
Department of Labor shall be transferred to the Office of the
Governor on July 1, 1975, at which time all accounts, records,
and other data of whatever nature now held relating to the Act,
by that department, shall be transferred.
B. All contracts executed by the Department of Labor on behalf
of the Governor as Prime Sponsor remain in effect until their
respective previously established termination dates.
C. The Central Records Unit within the Division of Employment
Security is expressly authorized by this instrument to fulfill
its contractual obligations.
D. The Manpower Planning Division, Comprehensive Employment
and Training Act and Alaska State Manpower Utilization System
(ASMUS) operations, and the Public Service Employment Division
within the Department of Labor shall be transferred to the Office
of the Governor within 30 days after the effective date of this
order and shall assist the Governor in creating a Manpower Division
which shall be operational within 30 days after the effective
date of transfer. The Department of Labor shall assist in an
orderly transition of all records and equipment of whatever nature
presently utilized by the Manpower Division.
The effective date of this order is July 1, 1975.
