ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 21
Pursuant to authority established through Article 3, Section
23 of the Constitution of Alaska, I hereby direct that there
is administratively established the Alaska Energy Allocation
Assistance Office within the Office of the Governor.
In conjunction with a recent agreement between the State of
Alaska and the Energy Office for Federal Region X, the Alaska
Energy Allocation Assistance Office shall employ necessary personnel
to work in concert with a federally assigned Deputy Regional
Director for fuels allocation.
As a part of the duties assigned this office the Alaska Energy
Allocation Assistance Office shall be responsible for the allocation
of any state "set aside" of allocable petroleum distillate
fuels in conformance with federal regulations.
These duties include, but are not limited to, assisting emergency
and hardship allocation requirements to local wholesale purchasers
and end users of allocable energy fuels as defined in regulations
of the Federal Energy Office adopted January 15, 1974.
It shall also be a requirement of the Alaska Energy Allocation
Assistance Office to establish and maintain an informational
program through the public media advising Alaskans of the services
available through the office and to conduct an informational
effort to inform the public regarding energy conservation measures.
