Pursuant to authority vested in me by Art. III Sec. 1 and 23 of the Constitution of the State of Alaska, I hereby rescind Executive Order No. 36 and by so doing place the authority, duties, and personnel relating to the activities of the Neighborhood Youth Corps of "Operation Mainstream," with all Federal and State appropriations in the Office of the Governor.

I find the assignment of these functions to the Office of the Governor necessary for the efficient administration of government.

This order takes effect on January 8, 1971.
